Argentine guitarists, who won various individual awards, formed this duo to become one an internationally acclaimed guitar duo from Argentina. Their Wesleyan performance featured tangos, South American dances as well as works from the duo classical guitar repertoire.

The recent WesGuitars concert celebrated the music of Wesleyan composer Carver Blanchard, in a performance of his preludes as well as various ensemble pieces. The concert also included music from around the world as well as Tango Suite by Piazzolla and works by Bach and Clapton.
Chapel Concert Series, students of Cem Duruöz perform works by Villa-Lobos, de Falla, Tarrega and more.

The mission of WesGuitars is to promote guitar music from around the world and cultural diversity in the Wesleyan University and greater Middletown communities using Spanish Classical Guitar as its main instrument. To achieve its mission, WesGuitars holds regular meetings to rehearse and socialize, organizes master-classes and formal concerts as well as educational outreach events in the greater Middletown community.
